Leeds Carnegie sign Harry Casson

Rugby Football Union or RFU Championship side Leeds Carnegie has completed the signing of Harry Casson from the Aviva Premiership Rugby Football Union club the Worcester Warriors on loan for the rest of the season.

Casson, a 22 year old second row forward has by and large struggled to establish himself as a first team regular in the Warriors side that has struggled in the Aviva Premiership themselves, having failed to secure a single win in their opening eleven matches of the Premiership so far and lying ten points adrift of the nearest team in the standings.

He has previously spent two brief loan spells with Coventry as well as Cinderford as well. He made one senior appearance for the Gloucester Rugby side before he went back to university and has been signed by the Leeds team as a back up the injured Calum Green.

Speaking about his move down the ladder in the English domestic game, Casson stated that he cannot to wait to join up with the Leeds Carnegie team, mentioned that it is a very competitive team and he is hungry to go out there and play as well.

He went on to add that Leeds play a style of rugby that suits his game to the tee and they have been getting some great results over the past few weeks and it is great to link up with a winning team.

Chris Gibson, the Director of Rugby of Leeds Carnegie stated that Harry has been signed up by the team with a glowing recommendation from very high quarters of the game, adding that they have picked up a couple of injuries over the last few weeks and it was important for the team to get a back up option for the team as they look to secure promotion.
